A fascinating day for kids

Every year, during the school summer holidays, children can experience a full day at Berlin Schoenefeld Airport with their parents, friends, guests or grandparents. Holiday organisers and individuals are also very welcome. "A day at the airport" has been offered since 1997. Over 10,000 children and accompanying adults have already taken advantage of this summer holiday attraction.

The day at the airport starts at 9:00 a.m. in airportworld bbi with a group breakfast and ends at 3:00 p.m. Guests are taken on a tour of the airport and have a chance to see a demonstration of police and customs dogs at work. The programme also includes visits to the airport fire service, the Lufthansa maintenance hangar, and the main terminal. The day is brought to a close with a view over the flight apron area from the visitors' terrace. Breakfast, lunch and drinks are provided by Widynski & Roick. Visitors are treated to a Mövenpick ice cream cone as a tasty way to finish the day. Afterwards, they have a chance to explore airportworld bbi until 6:00 p.m. "A day at the airport" costs €18 per person. This price includes a children's souvenir booklet containing interesting information about the airport, pictures to colour, and a great double-page poster.

Registrations are now being accepted for the 2007 summer holidays.
